"Inner Core" is an immersive performance that explores the tension between our digital dominated society and the primal human state. It stages a ritualistic journey, navigating between external information overload and deep introspection. The circular structure, with its ten arches, serves not only as a spatial metaphor but also a philosophical inquiry into the shifting nature of presence, perception, and connection in an increasingly digitalized world. At its core, the performance questions the boundaries between external influence and inner autonomy. The contrasting materials—raw, burned fabrics and polished, contemporary surfaces—symbolize the transformation of the human condition, caught between its origins and technological evolution. Movement within the space embodies this dynamic: performers oscillate between moments of isolation and synchronicity, mirroring the paradox of hyper-connectivity and alienation.Sound is central to the experience, treating the space as a living organism. The sound work generates a sonic landscape that shifts between unity and fragmentation. Deep, resonant bass from the core evokes visceral reactions, grounding the audience in an almost instinctual awareness, while the surrounding speakers create an evolving interplay of distance and intimacy. The soundscape acts as both a structural and philosophical guide, shaping movement and perception.
